Oh my God- I'm finally here in Thailand! Only been here three days and already having the time of my life. Here's a condensed run down:
The first evening (in Bangkok) we all met each other at the hostel, had a few beers and bonded. A few of us went for a wonder to the red light district strip!! Was like Vegas/Amsterdam! crazy. The next day we had some temple visits- went via sky train and river taxi's! So damn cool. The temples were beautiful, have some amazing pictures already. We then went to the BMK shopping centre for lunch- the food is lovely :) then that evening we had our welcome meal at a restaurant called 'condoms and cabbages' hehe- really beautiful restaurant with some random condom sculptures..... We then headed to the famous koasan road for some buckets! Lethal haha, but tasty. We then got a Tuk Tuk to a ping pong sex show (because well why not?!) and saw some funny things, I shan't go into detail- use your imaginations.....
The next day we travelled to Kanchanburi where we'll be staying for this week- AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! gorgeous lil bungalows on a hill with a pool! And it's right next to the river Kwai, such pretty scenery. That night we had dinner on a restaurant that floated down the river as we ate, then turned into a mini disco on the water, again have great pictures. Today we went to see the first amazing waterfall of the trip! It has 7 levels and is a mission to get to the top!!! But was well worth it, got to swim under the falls and even got a 'fish massage' basically these lil fish come and nibble your feet!! Supposed to be good for your feet! This evening we've come to the local town for dinner and drinks :) Tomorrow we learn how to cook Thai :s hehe.
The weather is hot, humid and lovely! The people on the trip are really really cool, feels like I'm back at uni again! Can't believe its only been a few days, feels like I've been here for weeks with the amount we've done!
Am having the time of my life and cant wait to show some pics on here!
I'll try to keep this updated but Internet connection is tricky to find so may not be able to very easily, Will try my best though :)

I'm offski.....
Well, last blog to come from me for a little while! The time has come (finally) for me to do a little travelling. I've wanted to do this ever since I finished uni and was incidentally the reason I started this blog- I was unemployed and living at home waiting for a job to come along and earn me some dollar for an adventure. And now I've finally got there- and even managed to snag a pretty boyfriend on the way! I'm off to Thailand for a month with an organisation called 'Real Gap' and will be going to lots of different places doing lots of different things including teaching, cooking, meditating, swimming under waterfalls and kayaking down rivers- and I cannot freakin wait!

So while I'm away I will try and keep this blog as updated as I can, whenever I'm in a Internet cafe I'll start blogging away! Other than that I'm gonna concentrate on having fun :) and then when I get back I'll be back to unemployed bum and will be blogging until I cant blog no more! Hopefully I'll get hold of some sort of internship....Then hopefully move in with Antony.
Speaking of who, I have to mention Antony here, he's been my rock the last year and a half and I am going to miss him so so much. He knows how much I've wanted to do this though, hell it's the reason we met, if I didn't want to travel I would have never moved home to save and would never have met him! So he knows how important it is and how excited I am to come home to him after :)
Anyway enough mushy stuff..... I'm offski and will blog as soon as I can! Ta-Ta for now Xx

Tea, Mexian food and portraits
Who knew this would be such a great combination? Had a lovely London bound adventure with some London bound friends yesterday in an attempt to see my nearest and dearest before I run away for a month..... We strolled around Covent Garden and had a good long look in the Tea Palace, (http://www.teapalace.co.uk/The-Covent-Garden-Shop-ACOVENT_GARDEN/) which for Tea lovers is like nirvana, but even I (not a friend of tea) enjoyed the pretty shop (which used candles to heat ornate tea pots!)

After this tea filled adventure we headed to Wahaca (http://www.wahaca.co.uk/) for the best Mexican I've ever had- I fear quesadilla's have become a new food love. Please go and get the churros for pudding- nom nom nom

So after feeling sufficiently stuffed we headed over to the national portrait gallery to see the entries and winners of the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2009 (http://www.npg.org.uk:8080/photoprize/site09/exhibition2_winners.php)
I love photography and had read about this in Dazed and Confused a while ago and was dying to see the contenders. The winner was Paul Floyd Blake for Rosie Bancroft, from an ongoing project entitled 'On Track for 2012' and this was it:

To be honest as an amateur I couldn't tell which ones were 'better' than the others, I just knew which ones I liked. Here's a couple I found on google image:

Overall a grand day out :)

Check my shelf yo
Stumbled on yet another cute idea on the tinterweb- http://checkmyshelf.blogspot.com/ - Check my Shelf is a website showing pictures of peoples shelves, it's surprising how much you can tell about a person by their shelf, here are a couple I like:

FYI I found this via another cool blog: http://followtheyellowbrick.blogspot.com/
Check it out!
You know I'm starting to fear that I'm becoming a blog addict....ah well, could be worse.....could be crack :D

Updating my life
Have been incredibly productive the last few days, scurrying around desperately to prepare myself for my month in Thailand and whatever lies in store for me after. Amongst other things I've updated my CV and applied for 5 internships for when I get back from Thailand..... I just need to wiggle that foot in the door! In between that today I've decided to update my blog more regularly, afterall I'm not working anymore and there's only so much organising one can do in a day.... So prepare for updated posts galore, wow, your gonna be sick of me :)
Even if it's just posts about things that made me smile. Like these! These pics from http://sweethomestyle.tumblr.com/ make me want to rent a room for the sole purpose of holding books in.

I can't wait to move into a place with Antony later this year- I can see it already, and it's so damn pretty. I'll invite you all over for tea and cake.

Something else I see in my future is one day owning a variety of gorgeous cameras (and hopefully knowing how to use them!) when I get some I'll invite you over for tea and cake and I'll take pictures of you eating it :)
