I've been searching for it all week..... but to no avail. The off switch to my brain remains hidden. I often struggle getting to sleep, and have gotten into the, (bad), habit of watching TV until my brain gives in and lets me rest. The last two nights, however, have been far worse, with roughly 6 hours sleep stretched over the two. I swear my brain is on a self-destruct mission and has gone on overdrive. The amount of whirring going on in there would make a helicopter jealous.
I'm hoping sheer exhaustion will wipe me out tonight and I'll finally get a full eight hours, but if not? I guess I'll see you on the other side. Here's to warm milky drinks, 'sounds of the rainforest' CD's and lavender steeped pillows.
Any of you guys struggle to catch some zzzz's?

Oh I'm sorry, I hope you get some more rest soon!
So sorry to hear this! Maybe read a book before you go to sleep. That usually helps.
I get insomnia aaaaalllll the time, pain in the arse. I play silly word games to get to sleep sometimes - take each letter of the alphabet and think up something for each e.g. designers (A is for Armani etc). More effective than counting sheep! In the past I have gone for famous scientists. But that is because I'm weird.
If you can't sleep at all then get up, have a warm non caffeinated drink and do something non-brain taxing. I plan blog posts when I can't sleep! xx
Eugh, insomnia sounds like a nightmare. I have mad sleeping skillz (not to brag or anything) so I wouldn't know what to suggest. I attribute my own sleep abilities to the fact that I pretty much didn't sleep before I was 12 (child from hell, yes) and I'm catching up. Vaguely worried that I'm going to hit 24 and my body will be all like, yup, that is you done, no more sleep for you...
Oh dear, it's so frustrating not being able to sleep! I always try to clear my mind, I have a habit of thinking too much before I go to sleep as I lay in bed so my mind is too busy, but what I found helped was to try and think of nothing! Its kinda difficult, but I find it helps me go to sleep quickly if my mind isn't filled with useless babble :p I also find that reading a book before bed makes me sleepy! xoxo
I hope you manage to get some sleep soon! I find having a bath and a warm milky drink helps :)

Oh my i totally feel your pain.
Seriously i can go through months of barely sleeping but it eventually sorts itself out. My body seems to switch to new sleep patterns so quickly, so if ive had a super late night one night, then my body thinks thats when it should go to sleep everynight, so weird!
Have you tried Night-time Tea from holland and barret, its my saviour, it makes you soooo sleppy!
Hope you get some sleep soon!
