Simply Breakfast

Hands up who skips the so-called most important meal of the day in favour of coffee and a cigarette? I never used to eat breakfast, I felt nauseous at the thought of it and got by on juice, before gorging on a big, (and usually fattening), lunch. But as I've gotten older I have become more and more reliant on breakfast, I simply cannot function without it anymore. I tend to go through phases of favourite breakfast foods, at the moment I'm loving Special K Strawberry Clusters or occasionally greek yoghurt with banana and honey. The best breakfast I've had in a while, however, was scrambled egg and chorizo on a toasted muffin at Giraffe, (I also highly recommend their blueberry pancakes).

I think it's safe to say I've become somewhat of a breakfast enthusiast, so imagine my delight when I stumbled on Simply Breakfast- a blog that documents Jennifer Causey's morning meals with beautiful photography. It is food porn for the early risers.

Take a look and get ready to kiss that coffee and cigarette routine goodbye...

What did you have for breakfast today?

I've heard of this blog, thanks for sharing it again, such beautiful pics of breakfast! I'm a big breakfast fan, think I'd faint without any, althuogh I'm usually booooring with cereals or toast and a cuppa. xx

I'm not a huge fan of breakfast (cereals, anyway); I normally find it pretty boring. This stuff looks delicious...

I'm on the Weetabix at the moment. Yawn! x

Oh they look amazing. I love breakfast - always entirely miserable if I haven't eaten by about 9.30! I'm a bit of a porridge lover though..! x

Oh man, I want egg on toast now lightly sprinkled with herbs. Mmmm! As I've got older I've developed a slight breakfast fixation; I tend to have cereal and toast day to day for ease, but at weekends I love to branch out and have something weird and wonderful!

Thank you so much for the birthday message :). xxx
